SecondBrainFolio

Privacy Policy

Last updated: 2026-06-09

What we collect

  • Your email address (for login + receipts).
  • The YouTube URLs you save and the categories you put them in.
  • Transcripts we retrieve from YouTube or that you paste.
  • AI-generated summaries and briefs that we created on your behalf.
  • Standard server logs (IP, user agent) for security and debugging.

What we don't collect

  • Any browsing data outside what you explicitly save into SecondBrainFolio.
  • Behavioral profiles for ad targeting. There are no ads here.
  • Payment card data — Stripe handles payment processing and we never see your card.

How we use it

Your saved URLs and transcripts power the AI processing — they go to our model providers (Anthropic, optionally OpenAI for transcription) solely to produce your summaries. Providers do not use this content to train their models when called via API.

Sharing

We don't sell your data. We share it only with infrastructure providers needed to run the service:
  • Supabase (database, auth)
  • Anthropic (Claude — summaries and briefs)
  • OpenAI (Whisper transcription, when used)
  • Stripe (billing)
  • Our hosting provider (Vercel or equivalent)

Your rights

You can export your data to Markdown from any category page. You can delete your entire account — and everything we've stored about you — instantly from Settings. For other requests (data portability, correction, complaints to a regulator), contact us.

Cookies

We use cookies only for authentication. We do not use third-party analytics, tracking pixels, or ad cookies.

International users

SecondBrainFolio is operated from servers in the US/EU. If you're in the EU, UK, California, or another jurisdiction with data-protection laws, you have rights of access, correction, and deletion. Account deletion satisfies most such requests.

Children

SecondBrainFolio isn't intended for users under 13. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we'll remove it.

Changes

We'll notify users of material changes by email at least 30 days in advance.
